      I did not receive an invoice for the work that was done. The tub and shower installation appears to be well done but it took three weeks,when I was initially told it would be 5 days. I was initially told that my toilet needed to be removed for the job,but it didnt need to be removed. I had a new toilet ready to install and was informed to return it. -I am waiting for an invoice for the toilet/job so I can return toilet to ********** -the job was way overpriced

      Our toilet drain clogged the morning of March 11, 2024. I obtained the list of recommended plumbers from our Condo Manager. After calling the 7 plumbers on the list, nobody was able to come on that day. Seeing television advertisements by Steve's Plumbing which gives the viewer an opinion that they are fair priced, I called them and was told that they were able to come at about 4 PM. When the repairman arrived a little after 4 PM, he first assessed the problem and said that we have to agree to paying the estimate before he could start the job. The estimate was $1,615.06 which included the after-hour charge. My neighbor and I thought that the estimate was extremely high but at that time, we were in a poor bargaining position, so we signed the estimate to start the job. The repairman then went to his truck to retrieve his tools and found that his wet vacuum was missing, and he said that he could not start the job without it. He called a second repairman who had a wet vacuum in his truck who arrived a little after 5 PM. The second repairman stayed to help but only worked 15 minutes to vacuum the water. The first repairman worked about 1 1/2 hours to remove the toilet and unclog the drain for a combined time of 1 3/4 hours actually worked. When the job was completed, the first repairman said that the estimate was the final cost. Being that our price issue was with Steve's Plumbing and not the repairman, we approved the job as being completed. To confirm to myself that the prices charged were exorbitant, I called several plumbers on the approved list, when I told them that I think that I was overcharged, without my volunteering any information to them, they said "Was it Steve's Plumbing?" They also confirmed we were grossly overcharged inclusive of the after-hour charge. Apparently, the plumbing industry know that Steve's Plumbing has earned this reputation of overcharging for services which to me appears to be a "bait and switch" TV tactic.

Our prices here are job based and we do not charge hourly, but most importantly we give you the most upfront cost that requires your approval before any work is done, so that there is never a concern. *****'s Plumbing & A/C Services may not be the cheapest option on the market, but our prices are accurate for the quality of work our customers receive. We value all customer experience as it helps us make the proper adjustments to remain a viable and dependable company. We always aim to deliver a great experience and strive to provide the best quality of service. I have already bought your concerns to our Plumbing Manager, **** and he will reach out to you directly. We will do our best to see how we can resolve this issue with the best of intentions for both parties. We understand that you may be frustrated, but if you could please give us the opportunity to correct the issue with our service. We would love to make it right.
