Complaint: Stating more work need to be done be on the requirement of the city building codes ***** **** the owner of the company is stating the cabinets and a proper kitchen counter top must be installed even though the city building inspector said that is not required. Mr. **** is refusing to call the city plumbing inspector to inspect the plumbing work until the counter top is replaced
Desired Settlement: I would like Professional Plumbing Services, Inc. to refund me the cost to hire another plumbing contractor to close the plumbing work for the building permit. Another plumbing contractor is charging a $1,000 for him to sign the paper work to list him as the plumbing contractor on record for the building permit and calling the plumbing inspector to close the plumbing work.
Business Response: Initial Business Response /* (1000, 10, 2014/06/17) */ Aloha, Here is our response to complaint by Mr. ***** PPS Inc. has denied further work on Mr. *****'s residence for the following reasons: (1) Mr. ***** completed the repairs himself. (2) The repairs Mr. ***** made himself were not up to plumbing code. (3) PPS Inc closed Mr. *****'s invoice for work completed as agreed upon 2/17/10. (4) The contract between Mr. ***** and PPS Inc. stipulates work performed and also notes no trim out. (5) Mr. ***** agreed to the terms and conditions of PPS Inc by signing 06/30/2009 that PPS has the right to refuse plumbing work for any reason. Also note that Mr. ***** waited over four years to complete his home project. Initial Consumer Rebuttal /* (3000, 13, 2014/06/18) */ (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.) PPS was asked to finish the job (I stated I would pay for and work required) but refused because i wouldn't replace the counter top. items #5 is incorrect - no sign agreement was made. The agreement was PPS would inspect and approve all work before the city inspector was called. The plumber hired to complete the work only took 5-10 minutes to install metal covers the wall where the pipes went threw. the only correction made was to an elbow that PPS installed Final Business Response /* (4000, 20, 2014/07/02) */
