Additional Complaint Information

A consumer contacted Hawaii's BBB and advised that Millennium Express & Travel, Inc. may have taken over inventory of boxes from Philbox Express Inc. Upon checking with Millennium Express to confirm it, Hawaii's BBB received the following communication from Millennium Express:

Philbox Express had asked Millennium Express to "coload" shipment to the Philippines. Unfortunately, Philbox/PB Direct was not able to pay for their obligations to clear the shipments with Philippine Bureau of Customs, Maersk Line , and all other vendors. Basically, they have abandoned their post to the obligation of delivering the boxes to their customers.

Millennium Express could have also declared their boxes as abandoned and thereby letting it be auctioned out. Instead, we opted to help as much as we can, on the boxes co-loaded with us, getting them delivered to the respective consignee for $45 per box from Oahu to Luzon. Since we don't have any documentation from the beginning as to the ownership of the boxes we have conducted our own inventory to determine ownership of the boxes.

There are still so much boxes that we have to match ownership. We need your help to pass the word if they have a shipment with PB Direct to please contact us. We ask that anyone inquiring about their shipment to provide us a name, invoice/box number and a telephone number so we can compare it with our inventory listing to see if we have their boxes.

There are still two containers in the Bureau of Customs (Philippines) that are stuck without any disposition at this time. If those containers don't get released, Bureau of Customs (Philippines) could also declare them as abandoned.

Complaint: Failure to deliver boxes to its destination and failure to get any feedback or response from the business's contact number. Back in March 2013, I arranged for Philbox Direct to send 2 bulilit boxes to my family in the Philippines and to date, the boxes have still not yet arrived! Despite being told it would take up to 6 to 8 weeks, I have continuously tried to call Philbox Direct to get reasons why but there is no one answering their phones! I am furious and extremely frustrated that the company has taken the liberty of not only taking my money but the goods in which my family are expecting too!

Desired Settlement: In settlement, I would expect the business to reimburse not only the cost of sending the boxes but also the cost of the boxes contents! However, if the boxes are delivered, no settlement is required.
