Best suggestion I can make is to hire your own engineer, architect or attorney if at all possible. Best to have all. Especially if you dont have a lender involved.

Atlas' team was impressive, everybody did his task in professional way and high quality. although the delay of material delivery due to pandemic, they fast tracked the job to compensate this delay. thanks for the end product and best quality.

The worst contractor we ever worked with. Issues ranged from contractual, scheduling, performance, and quality control. Contract scope of work was plagued by confusion and poor communications. Consequently, materials were not ordered on a timely basis, contributing to delays and extra costs. Email was confusing, so on-site meetings were requested but didn’t occur for months. Some delay is expected due to the pandemic, but a relatively small (230 SF, 2-1/2 bath) bathroom renovation originally scheduled for 3-4 months, took over 13 months. Workers often came on an intermittent basis, and they were busy with other projects. Never knew when they would show up except on a few occasions. After a short period, the on-site foreman left and was never replaced, contributing to coordination and supply issues. Productivity was also poor. Framing for 71 SF of new structure took over 2 months. Tile layers (2 persons) laid less than 30 SF of tile per day. Material arrived late, was incorrect type, or was missing parts. Cabinets took 7 months to arrive. Plumbing fixtures were installed in wrong locations, and inadequate shoring resulted in deformation of floor above, cracking existing tile floor. I even supplied some of the paint for the work when workers showed up without the right paint. Punchlist work alone took 98 days. And all at a cost of over $630/SF. All of this was recorded in regular reports and a formal list of deficiencies. No apologies or even recognition of any shortcomings. Their advertising looks like gross exaggerations in light of their performance.
