On June 22, 2022 I spoke with a very nice and helpful young lady, Ms. Grace W******* wanting to make arrangements to pay off a “collections debt” of $826.00 I owed Hawaiian Telcom. I asked that when the debt was paid in full to be sure to have it removed from my credit report which was agreed to. I provided my bank information so that automatic deductions could be done monthly. A payment of $400.00 was deducted that day, understanding the remainder to be split into two monthly payments. I noticed the initial payment took what I deemed to be a longer than reasonable amount time to reflect on my credit report thus I contacted Ms. W*******. She explained that it took 30 days for my payment to post which I wasn’t happy about being the transaction cleared my bank. Never having dealt with collections before I accepted the explanation as standard for all collection companies. My second payment of $220.00 was on July 06, 2022 and again wasn’t reflected on my credit report for quite some time. My final payment of $215.15 was deducted on August 08, 2022 which is still showing on my credit report. I called approximately a week and a half ago and Ms. W******* was unavailable so another very pleasant case agent explained the following to me. She told me they were having problems with the “vendor” they use. Stating even though my payment cleared my bank, the “vendor” doesn’t/won’t post it for 30 days. Trying to make right the two items I have in collections I told her how wrong and unfair I thought that was to me or anyone else having to go through them. She agreed, understood my plight and apologized profusely also stating it was something she had no control over. It’s been well over 30 days since my final payment so I called again today, September 19, 2022 and spoke with the same young lady who again apologized.
