MISSION: Habilitat offers treatment and habilitation of persons with character disorders often complicated through abuse of drugs, alcohol and/or anti-social behavior. "Habilitat remains strong and dedicated to its mission of saving lives by rebuilding lives."

Habilitat provides long-term substance abuse treatment to people who were dependent on drugs and/or alcohol and led antisocial, self-destructive lifestyles. The organization has three principal programs: Treatment; Education; and, Vocational Training. The Residential Treatment program employs the "therapeutic community" mode of drug treatment in a long-term residential facility, with the average length of stay for clients being 24 months.
This organization is tax-exempt under section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. It is eligible to receive contributions deductible as charitable donations for federal income tax purposes.
