Complaint: Services not rendered and location not fully disclosed Despite having a conversation and assurances with the company on the phone, the snorkeling boat left us at the dock. The company did not provide information about where the boat was departing. And we watched from the other side of the pier as the boat left us. Proper location and departure instructions were not disclosed and services were not rendered.
Desired Settlement: Refund of services
Business Response: Initial Business Response /* (1000, 6, 2013/11/14) */ It is rather unfortunate that this event occurred, especially as the customer was at the harbor and saw the boat leave. We have directly contacted the customer and resolved it to his desired conclusion with a full refund. This is not our normal procedure as we have a 24 cancelation policy, however after reviewing the recording of the over the phone booking of this reservation we determined that the reservationist did not fully explain the location of the boat's departure slip, it was noted that slip 72 is where we dock our boat but it was never said where the exact location of this slip is in the harbor. Due to this the passenger did not get to our slip in time and as we must adhere to the perimeters of our tour guidelines for the passenger on board, the captain had to leave the dock after waiting an additional 15 minutes beyond our normal departure time.
