Complaint: I recently bought a bmw from this business and not even a month into driving I ran into big issues. I have taken it to repair shops that can't even figure out what the problem is. The car is costing me more than I paid for. I'm hearing the transmission is bad and I believe I shouldn't have been sold such a terrible car. I'm a pregnant woman and this is my only means of transportation. I'm left here alone on the island and have hypoglycemia so I faint randomly. The man who sold it to me told me it was a good car and they were a reliable business. I feel like I was tricked into a sale. The car wasn't properly fixed up and it didn't even last a month. It should have never been advertised to me as a good reliable car. Now I'm spending money on different shops that are having trouble figuring out what's wrong. I don't know much about cars so I hope no one else takes advantage of me.
Desired Settlement: I would either like my money back or the repairs to be done by them since they so happened to have fixed up a "reliable car".
Business Response: Complainant did not purchase the vehicle from Lone Star Motosports.
Complainant did not purchase the vehicle from Lone Star Motosports. The true buyer/purchaser was Mr. Albert R*****, on 06/24/2015 Vehicle was sold for $ 2094.00 on an " AS-IS " basis.
Complainant states vehicle was acquired from new owner Albert R***** on 06/26/2015. Albert R*****, signed Purchase Agreement with Lone Star Motosports
and paid for his vehicle with his credit card and agreed to do his own transfer of Registration & Certificate of
Ownership which was given to him. Lone Star Motosports does not recognize complainant as the purchaser, and has heard nothing from new owner Albert R***** in regards to transaction which was sold "AS-IS".
We can only discuss facts of the sale with Albert R*****, the Purchaser.

Complaint: I had a 2007 Mitsubishi eclipse under power of attorney left at a friends house for safe keeping in a ******* **** residence starting in May 2014. On the 27th of June 2014 my car was towed by Lone Star due to a complaint. At the time the car had a flat tire and the safety was expired while in a storage status until I returned from overseas where I had been stationed. There is no evidence that myself, the lien holder, Hawaii police department, or ******* **** we aware that the car had been towed. We were in the process of filing the car stolen when we realized what had actually taken place in the month of September. The car was held in his facility until the allotted time necessary for him to take ownership of it by law. He was supposed to send a notification to myself and the lien holder. He claims to have done this but provided no evidence. These notifications have to be done through certified mail. He lied about having no paperwork on it and refused to give me any paperwork claiming this and referred me to the DMV. The DMV said he is required to by law to keep copies of all transactions to provide proof that he legally claimed the car. He rudely gave us all the information he could to try and make me buy my car back from him and asking for offers of cash. He would not provide anything other than word of mouth while waving the title in front of my face. When confronted about the legitimacy of his paperwork he would not answer any questions or allow us to see any proof. The Hawaii police department also claimed it had not been towed until the month of September. This was past the allotted time already and was forced to have no way to repossess the car. There is no proof of the initial request to have the car towed or proof that anyone was notified to reclaim the car. His dirty ways of running the system have left me without a vehicle.
Desired Settlement: I wish to have ownership of the car transferred back to my possession.
