Complaint: Gave 2008 Tacoma to this dealer on 6/11 for repair of transmission hose. Still waiting. They do not update me. I have to call them every week. My Tacoma is still at this dealer to repair the transmission cooler hose. Over a month. When I call they rarely call back, and if they do they give excuses. They have not called to give updates ever. I have to call them and leave messages. I need my truck for work and it seems from their attitude that they don't care. This truck has been serviced by them on an every 6 month schedule. The last service was 4 months prior to the hose breaking and their inspection report did not mention the "extensive corrosion" that they now say is causing the problem.
Desired Settlement: I want my truck fixed. I also think they should not have an A+ rating.
Business Response: Business' Initial Response /* (1000, 5, 2013/07/17) */ Per our Director of Service, Mr. ******* brought his vehicle in without an appointment but wanted to leave it knowing it would be several days before our service department could look at it. On 6-14-13 it was diagnosed that the transmission cooler line needed to be replaced and the part was back ordered. A few days later, we were informed that the transmission collor line was on national back order. Our service consultant advised Mr. ******* that it would be 2 to 3 weeks (between 7/3 - 7/10) before the part would arrive from Japan and that he would give Mr. ******* a call as soon as it did. On July 3, Mr. ******* called our Assistant Service Manager who informed him that his part should arrive in approximately one week and explained again what a National back order entailed. Mr. ******* was offered a loaner vehicle which he declined. The transmission cooler line arrived on 7-10-13 and the job was completed on 7-15-13. As a goodwill gesture, Mr. ******* was given a 20% discount on both parts and labor. Mr. ******* picked up his venicle on 7-16-13. Consumer's Final Response /* (3000, 7, 2013/07/18) */ (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.) They never offered me a loaner vehicle. If they had done that, I would not have complained to BBB. If they had told me they had the part on 7/10, I would not have complained. I did pick up my truck on 7/16 and traded it in on a new Nissan. I will not have to deal with Servco Windward Toyota again.
