BBB's business review for Airnex Communications, Inc. was created in September 1999. A review of this company's complaints was done in June 2014. Consumer complaints state that the per-minute rate for their calls have been increased significantly without any notice. Consumers also state they are charged for miscellaneous taxes and fees that they were not notified about and the miscellaneous charges are not explained. Finally, consumers state they are charged for the same calls on 2 separate bills.

Airnex Communications responded to the above concerns from the BBB by providing the following:

"To answer your questions better, I have to share the core of our international business model and solutions we find everyday to be both competitive and reliable service provider, so our clients can make great quality international voice calls.

Based on nature of international telecom calls, all the calls are terminated based on providers in the country of termination and by that, the cost of calls to be terminated is always in change and if something happened to those countries such as war or politics or natural disasters the change can be immediate and costly, that is why based on our policies which we always tell the clients rates are not guaranteed and this is a common practice in telecom service providers, both
post paid and prepaid.

For few cases we had previously the issue was with the country Ukraine which is currently under some political change and to be able to provide the service to our clients we had to increase the rates , but as we always tell the clients based on our terms and conditions rates can be changed anytime without any notice, however we keep a one time courtesy credit for the clients whom this changes will be apply and as always whenever they call to our customer service line or login to their account online they will see their existing or new rates."
