This business has no rating because complaints against it are handled by another BBB.
We have identified a pattern of complaints concerning sales practice and contract issues. Complaints processed by BBB claim 1) complainant's state they were mislead at the time of signing up for services. 2) Consumers seeking a refund on the basis of being mislead are refused. 3) Consumers claim that leads are not pre-screened as they are told when signing up.
On July 25, 2012 Calfinder responded to the issues by stating the following: Our system verifies all of the homeowners'' information and ensures that they are ready for estimates. As outlined in the contracts our clients sign, "CalFinder makes no representations or guarantee as to the final outcome of a lead. It is the responsibility of the Advertiser, and not CalFinder, to contact leads and exert the requisite effort to turn leads into jobs".
The changes we made in July 2012 to ensure this information is properly conveyed to our customers are 1) all of our large accounts, upon competition of the demo and signing of contract with their salesperson, is transferred to a sales manager to review the terms of the contract. 2) Customers go through a welcome call and onboarding with a support representative to reiterate the terms of the contract a third time. Once this is completed, their account is activated to receive leads. 3) The return policy, valid reasons for returns and refund policy are all outlined in their signed contract.
