We booked One Big Man and One Big Truck moving company for our move from ** to ************ on Aug 12 2023. The company had two movers ****** and **** come to our apartment and have our stuff moved. We had 30 U Haul boxes, 4 plastic boxes, furtniture and 7 suitecases packed and ready to go. Both ****** and **** came to our house at the right time (8:45 AM). They reassured us that they will handle everything and we could just relax. We found this to be a sign of great customer service only to discover that this was part of the bigger plan. **** and ****** put all our stuff in the truck and we reached SJ around 3:30 PM. They took 3 hours to unload and during the entire time, they asked us to help them unwrap the protective blankets from furniture. We started helping them and we later discovered that this again was a plot to keep us engaged. Around 5 PM, they started telling us that we will be overbilled because we are past the regular business hours. This created a sense of urgency in our mind and we were asked to increase the holding amount to $2250 from $1600 which was thier intial quote. We accomodated the change and as soon as we signed, they made one final trip and hurried us to believe that all our stuff was in our apartment already. We were not given enough time to double check the items and ultimately we found that we have 2 large suitcases with most expensive stuff missing. To make the matters worse, the moving company stopped responding to our calls and the owner **** harrased us on the call and yelled and shouted on us. This is extremely concerning since we have been robbed of thousands of dollars worth of items and the owner on top of it yells on phone.
