JadooTV came to BBB's attention in November 2010. A review of the company's file was done in September 2015. Complaints on file with BBB state that consumers purchase a Jadoo TV Box and are then told that the product will stop working and that an upgrade must be purchased in order to continue video streaming. Other complaints state that the product stopped working because of a manufacturing defects.
A letter was sent to JadooTV requesting they address the above issues as well as explain how consumers are notified that their Jadoo boxes are becoming obsolete and why it is necessary for consumers to purchase a new box, to provide their physical location, and how many upgrades JadooTV has done in the past 5 years.
The company responded with the following:
Consumers were notified 3 different ways:
1. An email containing a message informing users of stoppage sent to user's registered email address six (6) months prior to product stoppage.

It is with both a sense of great pride and honor that we have been your entertainment destination of choice since the launch of our first generation Jadoo box in 2008. We have brought endless entertainment to millions of South Asian homes across the globe, and connected you to your culture. With the advancement of technology, today we announce the end of life of our second generation Jadoo2 box that we launched in 2010. This box has been in use for 5 years at a cost of 10 cents a day to you.
As Jadoo2 technology continues to become obsolete, your Jadoo2 box will stop working in 6 months. End of Life for Jadoo1 & Jadoo2
Launched in 2010, your Jadoo2 box has now become obsolete, and will stop working in 50 days for the following reasons:
Jadoo1 and Jadoo2 do not support high quality video streams.
Apps unavailable on both boxes.
2. An alert containing a message informing user of stoppage sent to user's box.
