Course Smart, LLC came to the BBB's attention in January 2009. A recent review of the company was done in March 2014. Complaints on file state that consumers are experiencing frequent and unresolved technical difficulties, including access code issues, connectivity issues, accessing offline books, incomplete material, incorrect descriptions of material, error messages, and website and app crashes. Consumer complaints also allege being unable to reach a customer service representative despite repeated calls. Consumers have expressed concern over the company's return policy in regards to access codes. Consumers claim to receive incorrect access codes which prevents them from accessing the purchased textbook. These consumers attempt to receive a refund, but claim that the company's representatives would not refund payment because the access code had been viewed.
Course Smart, LLC responded to the pattern stating they had a couple of unexpected outages, hence why consumers couldn't access materials and had trouble reaching customer service. Regarding refund issues, the company claims they refund when unexpected issues arise.
