              Date of service: May 09, 2022 Receipt of bill was over one month later.Called *****************/**** Health Outpatient Center in ******** and scheduled a virtual appointment under the impression that I was covered by my health insurer at that facility. I had been to this care facility in ******** before and had done previous virtual appointments as well as optometry appointments there, so they had my insurance card on record.I didn't realize until much later, when I received a bill, that the "vitual" doctor that I was assigned to wasn't in-network with my insurer and was charged $202 for a 5 minute vitual appointment.I've contacted the billing department and customer portal a few times to ask why I was assigned to an out-of-network doctor, and have had no resolution. I don't think I should be charged the full cost of an office visit in this situation since there were in-network doctors at this practice.
