BBB's business review for Value Point Distribution was created in January 2012. Consumer complaints continue to state that consumers order an item (typically a spa) and the company promises delivery by a certain date then contacts the consumer to let them know delivery will be delayed. Consumers also claim they are unable to reach the company to find out the status of their order or to obtain a refund. Some consumers who have ordered spas have received delayed delivery of their spas, but the spa is damaged or does not work properly and consumers are unable to get repairs under the warranty. Other consumers have been able to reach the company after hearing about the delayed delivery and are promised a refund when they ask, but the consumers do not receive their refund.

The company was unresponsive to BBB's request for a response to the above pattern. Consumers have mentioned doing business under various company names including Value Point Distribution, Choose Fireplaces and Stoves, Home Goods Store Co, Island Spas, Hot Tubs and Portable Spas, and Hot Tubs and Spas Direct, yet they are all contacted by a representative at Value Point Distribution regarding their order. The BBB has been unable to determine the relationship between Value Point Distribution and the other companies mentioned by consumers.
