Complaint: Overbilled. This company advertised as a local service, then failed to disclose that truck was being dispatched long distance. Tried to charge for travel time. On day two, they only retrieved equipment, but tried to bill for labor. Over the last month and a half the company has been unresponsive to repeated requests for accurate bill.We called the service that advertises as, "Serving ************* ... and surrounding areas." It does not indicate that the company is based in ******* or that it dispatches its trucks long-distances. On the phone, it again failed to disclose these facts.This was a routine water damage case and run-of-the-mill work was performed. On day two, we called the office while the tech was present and both agreed that we would be billed only for actual labor performed.When the bill arrived, they charged for 5.5 hours despite the fact that only one hour of work was done. That is in addition to the basic "service call" charge which is the equivalent of almost 2.5 hours. We calculate the over billing is more than $220.00.The company's office has not responded to repeated contacts (email and phone) attempting to settle this matter. Desired Settlement: DesiredSettlementID: Other (requires explanation) I have repeatedly requested that the company submit a revised and accurate invoice so that I may pay and consider the matter settled.Its representative have orally agreed to charge only for "service call" ($141.42); 1 hour of labor ($50.31) and equipment rental ($51.00). When I receive an invoice for these and only these items, I can pay and close this matter.

I reached him by email and was able to handle his complaint. He said he would be notifying you that it is resolved. If you need to see the email chain to verify, please let me know.
