Chase Receivables responded to this issue by stating, we request that a patient/consumer confirm who they are before information is released. Of course, people are hesitant to release information to a company/person they are unfamiliar with. Before contact we send out a letter announcing who we are and who we represent. Most of the time our notification is discarded as junk email.
At any time if we are requested to validate the debt we will supply any and all records available. In the few situations where verification is not available we close the account and send a letter to the patient/customer advising them that the account is closed and we apologize for any inconvenience.
