I attended a San Francisco Giants game on September 9th, and was excited for the nights giveaway of Funko Pop Mandalorian in Giants colors. I bought tickets from a third party exchange, so Im not a valuable season ticket holder, and I probably dont matter to you. I just wanted to share my experience, because it was a terrible one. When I bought the tickets, I confirmed it was a stadium wide giveaway, and not a special ticketed event. I arrived at the park 30 minutes before first pitch, at 5:30 for a 6:05 first pitch. When I arrived there wasnt a single indicator that a giveaway had occurred. I walked around the whole park to every entrance just to confirm that view. Not a single extra table, employee, or empty empty box of what the giveaway arrived in. I talked to multiple employees, and was told the giveaway had been gone for an hour. I understand that happens, and I missed out on the main reason I attended the game. Thats life, and theres not customer support for that. My problem is that when I bought the tickets, the official MLB.com listing for the game said the giveaway is for the first ****** fans. *********** seats ******, so about half the stadium should be eligible for the giveaway if there was a sell out. When I got to the stadium a half hour early, not even half the stadium was full, but again the giveaway was so cleared out there wasnt even a hint that a giveaway occurred. Not only that, just looking at the fans in my section, there were maybe 10 Funko Pops of the around 200 people in the area. My complaint is that the listed ****** doesnt seem accurate, or all ****** didnt make it to paying attendees. There were multiple employed with bags of 8 Funko Pops, just waltzing through the stadium (photo attached). This was the worst baseball game experience Ive ever had, and put a sour taste for the entire San Francisco Giants organization and ***********.
