Complaint: replaced door window power several times, never stays fixed > 18 months. asked manager for help for 13 weeks. he does not get back to me. replaced right front seat window regulator motor assembly at honda walnut creek: 11/29/10, 3/38/12, 4/25/2013 never stays fixed 2004 honda accord, V6 been calling Service Manager ***** *********** > 15 times ofer the last 13 weeks with same complaint window does not work. he does not call me back with any resolution.

Desired Settlement: fix the window regulator that they unsuccessfully fixed before

Complaint: The dashboard of the Honda Fit has a design defect that creates a visual irritation and distraction in the windshield directly in front of the driver. In October 12, 2012, I purchased a new 2012 Honda Fit. I paid $17,959.29 for the vehicle. I test-drove the vehicle in the early evening before buying it. The next day, when I drove the car for the first time in the middle of a sunny day, a reflection appeared in the windshield directly in front of me. Upon examining the reflection, I realized that the reflection is of the contouring on the dashboard that is built into the vehicle directly above the steering wheel. When the Honda Fit is facing the sun from mid-morning until mid-afternoon, this contouring on the dashboard reflects into the windshield, directly in the driver's line of vision, creating a visual irritation and distraction when driving. If the dashboard was of a uniform plastic surface instead of this contoured plastic surface, then this reflection problem would not occur. The dashboard contouring causes the sun to reflect at different angles back into the windshield. This problem of dashboard reflections of this type has been previously identified by the automobile industry and has been named "veiling glare" or "ghost images." In addition to being a visual irritation and distraction, the ghost images created by the Honda Fit's dashboard design defect undermines the objective of California Vehicle Code Section XXXXX regarding "reduction of the driver's clear view through the windshield" and of California Vehicle Code Section XXXXX.5 regarding "altering the color or reducing the light transmittance of the windshield." Desired Settlement: I would like Honda to remedy this problem by either (1) fixing my dashboard so the dashboard's contouring does not create ghost images in the windshield, or (2) by Honda accepting back the car and refunding my purchase price, minus a reasonable amount for my use of the vehicle.

Business Response: Final Consumer Response /* (3000, 6, 2013/12/22) */ (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.) I would not have bought the Honda Fit if I had known that correcting the dashboard design defect required using a dash mat. As well, I was told by Honda that they do not recommend the dash mat because it can interfere with the functioning of the airbags. So Honda's proposed remedy is to alleviate one dangerous condition by creating a different dangerous condition. Honda should at least inform potential buyers of the Honda Fit of this design defect.
