The Tri-State Better Business Bureau will announce recipients of 2010 Business of Integrity Torch Awards at a luncheon on, Thursday, September 16, 2010. Student of Integrity Scholarship recipients will also be honored.
The luncheon, beginning at 11:30 a.m., will be held at Casino Aztar, in Evansville, and will feature keynote speaker, Indiana Attorney General, Greg Zoeller.
The BBB accepts applications annually from accredited businesses within its 18 county service area, speaking to a company’s commitment to build trust, be transparent, honor promises and other ethics-based criteria provided by the BBB. Up to four Torch Awards will be presented, based on judges’ review for the four company categories. (Categories based on the number of employees).
Student of Integrity Scholarship winners, who submitted ethics-based essays into competition, will also be honored at this event. Recipients are as follows: Robert Wilson, North Daviess High School, Ellyce Loveless, Signature School and Rachel Massey, Reitz Memorial High School.
Students with winning essays will receive a $1000 scholarship payable to the school of their choice.
The Torch Award judging panel and student essay review panel are comprised of local business professionals and university professors, who volunteer their time and expertise for the event.
Space is limited, but those interested in attending the Torch Awards may call the BBB prior to Sept. 9th for seating availability. Lunch is included with the RSVP ticket price of $25.
