Attention consumers and business owners!

Shortly after midnight EDT this morning, scammers sent another wave of phishing emails to consumers and business owners referencing a BBB complaint. The email asks the recipient to complete an attached complaint response form. The attachment is actually an executable file that, if clicked on, will download a virus onto the user’s computer. Of particular note is that these emails claim to come from the New York City BBB.

We ask you to forward these phishing emails to phishing@council.bbb.org.
