Dispute Handling and Resolution


BBB has made it fast and easy for people to file complaints. We take complaints involving all types of businesses - online, offline, BBB Accredited and non-Accredited. We also accept complaints against non-profit organizations. We primarily handle complaints relating to marketplace transactions and advertising claims.     

BBB does not handle complaints already being dealt with in court, nor does it handle complaints regarding employment situations. We are, also, not a collection agency.    

Before you file a complaint, try to settle your complaint directly with the company by contacting the owner, manager or someone in authority with the company. 

If this doesn't work, BBB works with both parties to help them find a mutually satisfactory solution. We help answer questions and can offer advice and suggestions to help both sides during the complaint process. There are times when BBB will close a complaints even when the parties are not satisfied. This is usually the case if the agreement has been fulfilled, but one party remains disatisfied. 

If a resolution cannot be reached, BBB may offer mediation or arbitration to resolve the issues.
