What is your job with BBB?
I run our “Welcome” program, and I am the go-to for customer service when you’re an accredited business with us.

What’s your favorite part about working here?
Probably the camaraderie. I feel like our office is like a little family that always is willing to help out and lend a hand. It’s always nice to work someplace like that.

What part of your job specifically do you enjoy the most?
The part I enjoy most is working with accredited businesses who love being BBB Accredited.

What keeps you busy when you’re not in the office?
I like to read. Anything that’s on the water--boating or floating the river. Biking and riding on the motorcycle.

What’s your favorite color?
My favorite color is blue, and the only reason I think it’s my favorite is because it was my dad’s favorite when I was growing up. I think I just stole it [laughs].

Who do you go to when you need advice?
I go to my mom. My mom and I are really, really close, and I was an only child for 20 years, so my mom’s my sounding board.

What’s your favorite season?
Summer. I grew up in Chicago and I don’t like winter or the snow at all, plus I enjoy being outside when it’s really warm out.

Favorite movie?
Armageddon. I bawl like a baby every time I watch it [laughs]. I remember seeing it in the movie theaters for the first time, and I think it’s a really touching story about parent/child relationships.

What’s the best gift you’ve ever given someone?
When I got married, I gave custom cufflinks to my dad and step-dad that had personalized photos in them. They were both really touched and wore them on my wedding day.

What’s the best compliment you’ve ever received?
Being told by husband that he’s really proud of me. He is someone I really look up to for his hard work and dedication so to know he is proud of me is a huge compliment.

If you could be stuck in an elevator with anyone, who would it be?
I’d say Elizabeth Taylor. She probably has a lot of great stories because she was married so many times [laughs], and she had quite the colorful life. I’m sure there wouldn’t be a dull moment [smiles].

What’s the best trip you ever took?
To Paris when I got engaged on Valentine’s Day!

What’s your dream vacation?
I really want to go to Santorini, Greece. Every time I see the blue tops on the houses in movies, I just think, “I want to go there so bad!”

What’s a good story about something on your desk right now?
I have this zen garden on my desk that my husband bought me, to help deal with stress at work. He said, “Whenever you feel stressed out, just rake this garden,” and it does not help at all. The sand just gets all over the place, and in turn just makes me more stressed, because then my desk gets dirty. [laughs]

Zen gardens: Not the stress relievers we thought they were?
