Each Tuesday, BBB puts out a new set of tips every consumer can use to keep themselves safer and smarter when making financial decisions.

This week for #TipTuesday, we have 4 great ways to save more money for your summer adventures.

Tip #1 - Have a special account. No matter the summer adventure, a separate savings account can be helpful in assessing your progress and preventing trip money from being spent elsewhere.

Tip #2 - Use automatic deposits. Setting up an automatic deposit in your adventure savings account can help meet your goal and keep that money from being unexpectedly absorbed into your everyday budget.

Tip #3 - Involve everyone. When planning your summer adventure, involve the rest of your group as much as possible. Whether it's a money jar in the kitchen at home or at the office, everyone feels able to help out with the savings.

Tip #4 - Assess your rewards. Many hotels, airlines & credit card companies have reward programs. If you've signed up for any, check them during your adventure planning to see if you've accrued any bonuses you could put toward your trip.
