On April 1, 2009 this company's Accreditation with the BBB was revoked by the BBB's Board of Directors due to recent government action involving the business's customer relations that indicates a significant failure of the business to meet standards of conduct expected of a BBB Accredited Business.
This company's revocation is due to violation of BBB Standard #12 which states, "Be free from any governmental action concerning the marketplace and its customers that demonstrates a significant failure of the company to support the principles and purposes of the BBB. A business must be suspended by the BBB's board when an action is filed if the allegations suggest such failure."
The revocation of a BBB accredited business comes only after a BBB Standards Committee review process, which includes a suspension period. Accredited businesses have the opportunity to respond (or additionally respond) to complaints and also have the ability to resolve disputes via the BBB dispute resolution process, which includes mediation and/or arbitration. They also have the right to appeal a revocation, as well, and are given the ability to an appeal hearing where the BBB Standards Committee listens to additional information presented at the time.
Maintaining BBB accreditation requires meeting all BBB's standards, promptly responding to complaints forwarded by the BBB and making good faith efforts to resolve complaints in accordance with generally accepted good business practices.
