On September 30, 2014, BBB contacted the business concerning its pattern of complaints filed with BBB. Particularly, we specifically noticed claims from consumers stating that Camping World fails to provide timely repairs. In addition, Camping World's repairs are inferior and not done to the customer's satisfaction or per terms of the warranty.
On October 15, 2014, Camping World of Spokane responded to BBB's concerns stating since February 2014 they have made a series of management and staffing changes to lessen the complaints and customer dissatisfaction. The problems that are temporarily persisting are not of a competency problem, but of a lack of experience working together. This is quickly subsiding and the quality and proficiency of the whole operation along with customer satisfaction is rising. Although we are Camping World; with currently 134 stores nationwide, we are franchised separately with regards to product lines. If we are not the selling dealer or represent the particular brand we are servicing, we have to submit any warranty claims through the selling dealer and wait for authorization for these repairs and then place the order for parts when applicable. This fact causes uncontrollable delays and surely causes frustration for our customers. This policy is dictated by the manufacturers and is relayed to our customers at the time of sale as well as the time of servicing. We have, at almost every instance, gone above and beyond to make our customers happy. Whether money or free labor to help satisfy the customer, we have been there for them. We, nor anyone else, can make everyone happy, but we try.
