I live in an apartment complex where some people are allowed to park in front of the garages. Most of these situations don't cause as tight a squeeze as it does for me trying to get into my garage. After scraping my car on the garage multiple times because of this policy, I finally completely tore up my car door and it cost almost $4000 to replace. I then spoke to the managers and told them that it was a hazard to allow someone to park across from my garage like that and that if they let them do it, I would just start doing the same thing. They relented and told the people in that apartment not to park there anymore. Soon after that they moved out and now there is a cleaning person's car in that spot. I contacted the managers and they said that they would be allowed to park there while they cleaned, even though there are other parking spots available nearby. So I followed through on my promise and parked in front of my garage as well. It's going to be hard for anyone to get through there but if the cleaners can do it, why can't I? My main concern is that when new tenants move in the managers won't follow through on their original agreement to not let people park there anymore. I don't know what recourse I have but I did give them a negative ****** review and I wonder if there are parking or building violations that I could enforce. I haven't tried that. I hope you can get in touch with them and keep this from happening again. I'm including a photo of the car parked in front of the garage. When I messaged management today they told me not to "harass" the cleaner which I won't do but I'm not going to do nothing and let this happen again. I'm choosing "finish the job" because they said one thing and now they're doing another. They need to not allow anyone to park there.
