Additional Notes

Complaint: My neighbor ***** ***** had hired Mr. ******** to trim some of his bushes that border and hang over into my yard. Mr. ******** sent 3 of his boys to do the work. They were laughing and joking as they were cutting the bushes and apparently not paying close attention to their work. They accidently cut the wire on our new electric fence. This was witnessed by my sons who were watching. They called Mr. ******** who came and very unprofessionally and vulgarly denied any responsibility for the damage. We had asked for $100. to compensate for having to buy more fencing materials plus labor to repair the damage. Our other option would be to hire it done and send them the bill. One of his boys said that would run $300. His closing words were " I will see you in court!" as he stormed off got in his truck and left, leaving debris and branches in mine and the ***** yard. I feel Mr. ******** thinks by bullying and threatening my kids and myself he will get away with not being responsible for the damage inflicted on our new electrical fence or finishing the job they had started and cleaning up the mess they left.

Desired Settlement: The fence was fixed the next morning. We would like $100.00 cost compensation reimbursement for materials and labor.

Business Response:

As my crew arrived, and were setting up to prune the bushes.  One of Mrs. *******’s children came out and informed one of my workers to be careful of the electric fence because it is weak and the bottom wire is broken.

Two of my professional pruners, which I sent to the job site at Mr. *****, were using hand pruners to prune the bushes in the area, where Mrs. *******, claims that the wire was cut by my crew.   My crew is very particular about where we make our cuts, when pruning bushes.  All of our pruning is very precise and controlled because we prune back to a vertical or lateral twig or branch to reduce dead wood and sucker growth.  The bushes that my crew were pruning, had about a foot of space between the bushes and the fence.

I also talked to Mr. *****, to ask if there was debris left on his side of the fence.  Mr. ***** told me that all of the debris was cleaned up from his side of the fence.  I was also informed by Mr. ***** that Mrs. *******’s children were out in the yard trimming bushes the day prior to my scheduled appointment to prune the bushes properly.

I was never able to talk to Mrs. *******, only to relay messages through her children, to attempt to resolve any kind of issue.  I was professional when I talked to Mrs. *******’s children, as well as, the Residents’ Association member that showed up and talked to my arborists and me.

Sincerely,

****** ********
