Complaint: In July of 2013 we purchased our 2nd Air Conditioning unit from A-1 Refrigeration and they came out to install it. We have spent over $4800 in just over 1 year with A-1. They were very timely, efficient, and did a great job of installing the units. The first unit we purchased was stolen, so we had to replace it. The owner, ****, reccomended that we purchase for an additional cost a "cage" that he would install steel bars sunk into concrete and then a heavy guage wire mesh around unit which should prevent anyone from stealing the unit again. He charged us $600 for the cage. The "cage" portion of the job is not acceptable and we have been calling A-1 numerous times and spoken to *** and **** but neither one has replied. On 10-9-13, I called and spoke to *** and told him that we are not happy and that we expect the job to be finished. *** said he would have **** call me back because he was in a meeting. We have not heard back from A-1 Refrigeration. I want our money refunded, or the job completed as promised.
Desired Settlement: Refund of money $600, or complete the job as expected.
I am writing to say that my complaint with A-One Refrigeration has been cleared up and fixed. **** responded within 1 hour of my complaint being submitted, and it appears there was miscommunication in the sense of urgency about the situation, which caused the delay. Needless to say, he completed the necessary work that we had requested and he went above and beyond to make sure it was fixed within 1 business day.
BBB's Final Determination: Consumer accepted resolution offered by the business.
