Complaint: Inland Fence is installing a partial fence for us. We were told it would be installed 1.5 to 2 weeks after we returned our contract and deposit. That was returned and they cashed our deposit check on 4/29/11 and our fence still isn't done. I have called on 4 separate occassions and they keep saying "it will be done by the weekend". My most recent calls took place on 5/16/11 when I was told they would call later in the week to schedule a time to install the posts and then they would be back early the next week to finish. The posts were installed on 5/19/11. The evening of 5/24/11 I called the business and left a message because I was expecting the fence to be complete no later than that date. I received a call back stating it would be done Thursday or Friday so it would be complete by the weekend. It is now Friday evening and it still isn't done. My conversations have been with ******, I believe he is the owner of the company. Not once has he called me to state it wouldn't be done on time. Each of the conversations have been initiated by me. They have not delivered what was promised and they have poor customer service!
Desired Settlement: I want the fence complete ASAP, and I want a discount on the price.
Business Response: The most honest answer i can give is that we just got behind. I should have communicated with the customer more reguarding that. We had some jobs come up that took way longer to complete because the ground was very rocky and that got us behind. Other customers that were told this were very understanding and we have now completed them. They are all very happy. Each time i called her back i did give her the reason why, but i should have called her when the plans changed and that is my fault. On Tuesday the 31st we did get the job completed. We would have done it on the 30th but that was a holiday. My self and the installer also got our wires crossed on this job and another. Her job was supposed to be completed on friday the 27th but he finished a different customers job instead. This ordeal will make us keep a closer eye on our scheduling and keeping customers updated. We do plan on discounting the job.

Better Business Bureau:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID *******, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.
I do accept this resolution, but I would like to re-iterate that we were originally told this would be complete 1.5 to 2 weeks after our deposit and contact was received which would have been 5/13/11. When the posts were installed on 5/19/11, we were then told it would be finished early the next week, which I assumed meant 5/23/11 or 5/24/11. Only after that, was it supposed to be complete on 5/27/11. I just think pro-active communication should have been initiated by Inland Fence. If they just would have picked up the phone and called to let us know there was a delay, we probably wouldn't have had as many complaints. I am satisfied with the outcome of their job.
