    My name is William M. If I could give this business a lower rating than this I definitely would. I made an appointment to get the barings in the rear end installed because of a grinding sound resinating from underneath the 2001 Toyota 4runner. The gentleman informed me that the work would cost somewhere in the range of $700-$800 and would take 2 days to do the work. The appointment was made on the 3rd of August 2021 for the 19th of August 2021. Had the truck towed in by Jimmy's Towing on the 18th in the afternoon. When they dropped it off Jimmy's left the keys with them. I called Advantage Driveline at 2pm on the 18th of August 2021, not even an hour after it was dropped off and informed them at that time that the 4runner was drivable but not at speeds over 40mph due to the passanger side rear stabilizer bar being broken off the frame at the bracket. The gentleman I talked to said he made a note of it and that he would inform the mechanic. 7 days pass, on a job that I was told would take 2 days tops, and I still hadnt heard 1 word, no phone call, no message, nothing at that time. If I hadnt called them at the end of the day on the 25th I dont think I would have heard from them at all. When I talked to the mechanic he starts telling me was I aware that my stablizer bar on the passanger side rear was rusted and broke off. I told him that I was aware of that the day it was brought in and that I informed them of that specific issue the day it was brought in. Then the mechanic informs me that the price was going to cost me $1025 after I was already quoted a price of $700-$800 for the work. I told him go ahead and do the work on it and get it done. I then asked why the cost of the job went up $300 +, his answer to my question was its a Toyota. Im sorry but they new it was a Toyota when the appointment was made, when the original price was quoted, and still knew it was a Toyota the day it was dropped off. Their was no other reasoning behind the price hike other than to run up the cost on me. The mechanic was rude, unprofessional on the phone when I questioned why he didnt have the vehicle done yet because all that info he told me was already known back on the 18th. Well he said he would get it in the shop and start working on it on the 26th of August 2021 and that he would have the truck done and ready for pick up by the 31st of August 2021. So on September 1st, when I said I'd could be in to pick up the truck, I call Advantage Driveline at 1pm to find out if the truck was ready to be picked up? I was informed that the parts were on back order and that he didnt recieve the barings until the 31st of August. Again rude on the phone with me, after I questioned why my vehicle wasnt done yet, why they never tried since the 26th of August to call, reach out and leave a message or anything as to make me aware of whats going on why its delayed for yet a second time. Mind you twice now I have had to cancel the gentleman I had lined up to fix my stablizer bar because of their lack of communication. I have been without my vehicle, and have not known what was going on with the job since they have had my vehicle. This last time I talked to the gentleman on the phone he was rude yet again, saying Im just getting ready to pull it in and start working on it now, or I could come pick it up and he could just pull it out of the shop. I said how can you pull it out of the shop when it hasnt even been in the shop technically. I am irritated beyond measure I would like my truck back ASAP and the mechanic I spoke with last time hung up on me so now I have no clue if they are even working on my vehicle at all. I just want this nightmare to be over. These people are a joke they have no communication skills, and the fact that they give you attitude when you call them to find out any information about the job is beyond rediculous and uncalled for. This company should be shut down or monitored closer because for a job that was only supposed to take 2 days and cost $700-$800 when I made the appointment back on the 3rd of August is now costing me $1025 and they have had my vehicle for 13 days now and still counting. Overwhelmed, underinformed, unprofessionalism of the business, rude behavior on the phone, and Im the one who is out the vehicle for a half a month now and counting plus it is now costing me an additional $325 from the original price I was quoted before I made the appointment. Now with him hanging up on me, I have no clue if they are even working on my vehicle.
