Additional Notes

Complaint: Dealership sent out a flyer stating that they would give the bearer a $500.00 Visa Gift Card for coming down and looking at their new cars. The flyer Clearly Stated " No Purchase Necessary" So I went down and was told that I could only get the Visa Card if I traded in my old Toyota and purchased a new one. When I pointed out the "No Purchase Necessary" they said that its for trade ins only that's not a purchase. I feel this is a bold face lie a trade-in IS trading in my car for the purchase of a new one otherwise it is a offer to purchase my car for $500.00 not a trade-in

Desired Settlement: I would like my $500.00

Business Response:

Szott M-59 Toyota called me regarding this complaint and emailed me a copy of the ad in question.  They felt the ad made it clear that the $500 was to be used towards a vehicle:

In celebration of our 1-year anniversary, we are offering our loyal customers a $500 Savings Voucher, which you can use to further increase your savings on any new vehicle in stock.

BBB's Final Determination: Business offered a resolution. Consumer did not pursue further with BBB and the matter was assumed to be resolved
