Complaint: I took my vehicle for inspection to Suburban Chevrolet, the dealer where I bought my vehicle, hoping to receive good service as a valued customer. Instead, I was treated rudely and was charged over $300 for services that were not required. I was charged $75 for a brake inspection, when this should have been included in a coupon I used for a discounted oil change and multipoint vehicle inspection. I also described problems with my transmission, which the mechanics stated showed no problems, but could use a transmission flush. Unknowingly, I allowed for the transmission flush, only to find out later that a transmission flush usually only intensifies the transmission problems. Sure enough, after the transmission flush, the dealership called me back and stated they were now noticing the problem with the transmission, but would charge an additional $100 for another diagnosis. Suburban Chevrolet was unwilling to work with me and would not look at the transmission without charging for extra diagnostic fees. Furthermore, they were unwilling to refund for the price of the transmission flush when they should have know this would probably increase transmission problems.

Desired Settlement: I would like refunded $306.24 for the $75 for a brake inspection that should have been included in a the vehicle inspection and the $231.24 for a transmission flush that only worsened the problems with my transmission.

BBB's Final Determination: After reviewing the position of all parties, BBB determined that the business made a reasonable offer to resolve the complaint. However the consumer did not accept the offer.
