Complaint: I purchased a car from this dealership on 4/19/13. The problem I am having is that during the purchase I asked my sales rep (**** ******) why was a $2000 vehicle $2600 after tax. I explained to him that you are about $200 to high. The sales rep tells me that the reason this is high is becasue we are a A dearler lot and we have a higher tax rate than a B or C dealer lot. I said ok there is nothing we can do about that. I signed the paperwork and left the dealer. When I got home I read the purchase order and its says I was charged for a "Theft Detterent System" for $299. After I read what I signed its says that I could cancel within 30 days for a full refund. That sounds easy but its not. I went to the dealer for what I thought was a simple return and I complained about the sales reps lie. I felt that when I ask why his outdoor the door price was so high he should have told me about this system. Also, when I tried to return it I had to ask what is it and how does it work. The fincance guy (******) explained that is in on the windows of the car and that someone should have showed me where it is. That would have been nice to add value to the product. The finance guy also explained to me that they add this product to every vehicle and its added into the price. It clearly states right on the contract that "You are not required to purchase this program in order to purchase, lease, or obtain financing for your vehicle. If the lender submits a written request to cancel the guaranty within 30 days of covered vehicle purchase date (Which I'm still within.) then the lender shall receive a full refund of the system purchase price. My concern is after reading this term and condition why is it so hard to give me my money back? Please assist in resolving this matter. I would like to add that they offered me a few oil changes. This is not good enough. Thank you in advance.
Desired Settlement: I want my full refund of $299 plus tax. They can deactivate the unit per the contract.
