Complaint: I bought a "certified" GMC Terrain only to find it making weird noises and improperly gassing; so I took it to a different GMC dealership to get it checked out-- the car was behind on its recalls and the oil level was 3 quarts short. The car was advertised as "GMC Certified" with their whichever number of points inspection. On top of this latter fiasco, while I was making the purchase, the salesman refused to give me all weather mats for the backseat (he only gave me the mats for the front seats, makes no sense to me.) I feel completely ripped off and mislead into thinking that I bought a certified used vehicle with proper inspections and care.
Desired Settlement: I would like for this dealership to refund me the ENTIRE dollar value that I paid for this car, I rather purchase a different GMC from a reputable dealership than to drive a car that is falsely "certified used" giving me no peace of mind behind the wheel.
In response to your letter, I am very sadden that your having trouble with your vehicle you purchased from Art Moran Buick GMC. We take pride in our sales and service and perform every inspection in accordance with GM guidelines and with the utmost professionalism . GM has been having a few issues with oil consumption on some of their vehicles and have corrective steps put into place to correct these issue. I can truly vouch the inspection on your recent purchase was performed and documented. If you wish, may I suggest that you have an "oil consumption" test performed per GM guidelines @ a GM dealership of your choice. As for the floor mat concern, please feel free to stop by and we will provide you with 2 rear winter floor mats to adress your concern on that matter.
I feel that the concern your having is related to one of these issues and not lack of a certified inspection. We here at Art Moran value your business and you as a customer, and feel strongly about your unhappiness with your recent purchase. We are here to help in any way to rectify your concern in the most speedy manor.
Please feel free to contact me to discuss you current situation, and once again I am truly sorry for your issue and your vehicle which is correctable at your GM Dealership.
