      I came to BBB to post a review on Morse's failure to honor a claim and saw comment after comment about the same complaint. BBB needs to look into them. This is serious. They are a fraudulent company! Obviously, Morse Moving & Storage is a bunch of shysters who will move and damage your belongings and then come up with a million excuses (e.g., it was that way before, this is an old scratch look at the dirt in it, we couldn't have damaged your floor we have soft wheels, etc.) to not honor your claim to repair/replace your belongs. I even went to their president to get them to honor my claim and he REFUSED to speak to me but rather had the same person in claims that refused my claim in the first place call me back. When the president ignored my certified letter and refused to take my follow-up call, I knew they are a irreputable company and that I selected the wrong moving company. I hope this review helps other people choose another company instead of Morse Moving and Storage in Michigan.

      This is a company that you cannot depend on. They caused about $1,500 of damage on a $30,000 move. That's to be expected. However, when asked to take responsibility they referred me to a third-party insurer whose only job seemed to be avoiding paying claims with ridiculous requirements such as get damaged items appraised. In previous moves, the company typically sent someone out right away to effect repairs. When I went back to Morse and asked them to do the right thing, I was met with silence. When money was due from me, it was wired immediately, when the shoe was on the other foot I'm afraid that was not reciprocated. A company that won't stand by its work should be avoided, particularly when there are plenty of other options out there.

      Moved out/in June 6, they broke 1 piece of antique furniture and left it at the old house saying they didn't want to move it and break it any more. Then, they damaged the freezer door on my brand new refrigerator/freezer, even after it was realized that additional damage would occur. As the mover said " I heard it scrapping, but decided that we might as well just finish getting it through the door since we were already committed to getting it out and damaging it." Moving in, they would not move refrigerator into the house, stating that they did not know how to remove already damaged freezer door and left it in the garage. Filled claim for damage on June 14. Last contact with ***** was on June 21 when told "Claim will be handled in the order it was received." It is now July 19 and we are still waiting and my emails go unanswered. I give them 1 star, only because I have to give them something.

      We do apologize for the delay in settling claims. Right now there is a slow down in getting the repair firms out to the homes to address the scraped door to the fridge. We are doing everything we can to help move this along as quickly as possible.

      We were given a price and told it was guaranteed to matter when we moved, and it would be Allied Moving Van, no storage of our goods. It was stored and delivered by a third party and they charged us another $2500 on top of the so called "guaranteed" price. All of my husbands expensive Dewalt tools were stolen somewhere between ******** and ******* not to mention they delayed our delivery by a month which meant we had to find somewhere to live for a month while waiting for our goods. We were lied to at every turn and now they refuse to talk with us!I would never ever recommend anyone use this company.

      We had a terrible experience with Morse from the packing day, to the unload day, and in trying to resolve damaged and missing items. I would definitely warn others not to use them. They were not prepared with enough people to pack our home, even after an extensive walk through before the move, and were at our home until midnight. Prior to the unpack, we called them to ensure they would be better staffed to handle the unload and unpack, but they were not. Poor communication within the company led to the guys not knowing they were supposed to unpack, so they ran out of time. My husband and I helped unload and carry boxes the whole time too, because we could see they were not properly staffed. There were many damaged and missing items a well, and very poor responsiveness and desire to resolve the situation. We have moved several times, some internationally, and this is the works experience we have ever had with a moving company.

      Very poor movers. We trusted them to move my mother from her home into an apartment. They dropped several Ethan Allen wood furniture pieces causing extensive damage and never mentioned it. We are still finding damage 3 months later. Stacy, from the claims department is very rude and difficult to deal with as well. Steer clear of this company.
