BBB Customer Review Rating plus BBB Rating Overview
BBB Customer Reviews Rating represents the customers opinions of the business. The Customer Review Rating is based on the number of positive, neutral and negative customer reviews posted that are calculated to produce a score.
|Customer Review Experience||Value|
|Positive Review||5 points per review|
|Neutral Review||3 points per review|
|Negative Review||1 point per review|

In some cases, a business' grade may be lowered if the BBB does not have sufficient information about the business despite BBB requests for that information from the business.

Complaint: I was charged twice for my car repair (rear right suspension area).First I was charged $388 for labor only to replace the rear right trailing arm, lateral arms (2), stabilizer bar and stabilizer bar link. After all the parts were installed I was told that rear subframe, rear right strut and knuckle were also damaged and needed to be replaced. They put me in a situation that I had no other choices but to pay more money to fix the car. I was charged additional $339.50 this time for the labor only. To replace the Rear subframe, Strut and Knuckle, the previous installed parts (Trailing arm, Lateral arms (2), Stabilizer bar and Stabilizer bar link) have to be removed first. In other words, replacing the Rear subframe, Strut and Knuckle includes removing and installing Trailing arm, Lateral arms (2), Stabilizer bar and Stabilizer bar link. On the other hand if buying all the used parts together as a whole set at one time it would cost around $250. Buying them separately cost me $360 ($185 + $175) because it needed more labor to disassemble them one by one from used cars.The final repair cost is $1103.99 in which Firestone charged me $743.99 for labor only and $360 I paid for the used parts myself. After the repair I went to two different auto repair shops for an estimate. One estimate is $500 ($250 labor and $250 parts) from a Shell Gas/Service Station. Another estimate is $539 (labor and the parts) from a BP Gas/Service Station. Firestone quoted me three times and fixed the car in two steps, which I believe clearly is not a good practice! And I think I am entitled to a partial refund of my money.
Desired Settlement: $355.99($743.99-$388.00)
