I stopped in to this dealership to inquire about new Toyota Corollas as a replacement to the aging one I was driving. While there close to closing I saw a used Lexus CT on the lot for sale. I came back in the daytime to take a look at the car as it is similar to a Corolla and ended up test driving the vehicle with my brother present Jan 17th 2023. I made it abundantly clear that I was looking at a cash purchase with the intent to trade it towards a newer vehicle when availability improved. I stated three separate times that I did not want my credit run as I was planning to purchase a new vehicle in the near future. The salesperson (Name removed) asked if I would be interested in a pre-qualification check anyway just to see what rates were available, and I agreed on the terms that no hard pulls would be made against my credit and never signed anything authorizing them to do so. The next day I was called and asked for title information for a vehicle I had never agreed to purchase, and not only had they made hard pulls against my credit without my consent but they had also given my personal information to *************** without my consent. I reached out to the dealership multiple times and was effectively ignored. I have also reached out to the banks that they gave my information to and was told that only they can request them reversed. I have also reached out to *********** who only respond by telling me what a hard inquiry is repeatedly. At this point I have no interest in doing business with them going forward and simply want the credit inquiries they ran without my consent for a vehicle I did not agree to purchase removed without having to resort to legal action.
