Get Informed During National Consumer Protection Week

Denver/Boulder BBB joins nationwide campaign to help protect consumers

DENVER – The Better Business Bureau of Denver/Boulder (BBB) is offering consumers seven important daily tips to celebrate the 15th Annual National Consumer Protection Week (NCPW), a nation-wide effort to raise awareness for consumers across the country.

During the week of March 3-9, BBBs, government organizations and nonprofits across the country will celebrate NCPW by offering consumers tips and information about the most important issues affecting consumers today. The BBB is, once again, encouraging every consumer to take full advantage of their consumer rights and make better-informed purchasing decisions.

“In today’s marketplace, it is more difficult than ever to protect yourself against potential fraud, so we are proud to be a partner with so many organizations during this national week of awareness,” said Su Hawk, President and CEO of the BBB of Denver/Boulder. “We educate the community year-round on fraud-prevention topics, and this week highlights all of the sources available.”

BBBs will be participating in numerous speaking engagements, community events and media appearances across the nation. Locally, the BBB of Denver/Boulder’s Wednesday weekly radio interview on KEZW 1430 AM will feature guest partners, including a representative from the U.S. Postal Inspection Service to talk about the latest in consumer fraud. offers consumers a wide selection of free materials to learn how to protect their privacy, stay safe online, manage their money, avoid identity theft, understand mortgages, and avoid fraud and scams.
