Customers Can Now Post Reviews on BBB Website

January 06, 2014

DENVER – Customers can now voice opinions and praise local businesses on the Better Business Bureau of Denver/Boulder’s website, the nonprofit organization announced today. The BBB of Denver/Boulder is one of the first BBBs in the nation to launch the unique customer review platform.

“For so many years consumers have asked the BBB for a way to compliment businesses for admirable practices and service. Now BBB Customer Reviews give them that option,” said Su Hawk, president and CEO for the BBB of Denver/Boulder.

Adding to the many helpful free services the BBB provides the public, BBB Customer Reviews give further insight into a company’s behavior and are facilitated in a fair manner. The BBB posts customer reviews to its website once the reviewer’s email address is verified for authenticity, personal and inappropriate text is redacted, and the business confirms the reviewer is an actual customer.

Differing from the BBB’s traditional complaint service, BBB Customer Reviews can reflect positive encounters, have no effect on a business’s BBB rating, do not seek a specific resolution and have a wider range of acceptable subject matter.

Businesses that receive customer reviews can submit replies directly on the review. Reviewers can also add more comments to their reviews at any time, or in reply to the business’s comment.

To post or read BBB Customer Reviews on any type of business in the Denver/Boulder metro area, visit and find the feature in any BBB Business Review.
