We scheduled a call to have a sliding glass door replaced, complete with all of the information about the job. They scheduled a call with us that was not terribly convenient, but we made it work. We were really excited to support a local business and have someone based here in town doing the work for us. We politely outlined the needs of the job yet again, despite already having submitted a form that went over that very thing.The saleswoman sounded hesitant to work with us from the very beginning, first telling me, "Oooh, you know, we don't really do door enlargements and your slider sounds like it will need enlarged." I told her no, we have a standard sized sliding door and we'd be happy with another standard 2 panel sliding door. After a long hesitation, she said, "Hmm, well, ok," then asked what other things we might need done. Surprised, we said maybe a front entry door, but that it would depend on the cost of the slider. Here is the fun part - she told us our job is "too small" and that they don't concern themselves with things like one sliding glass door. Well, I can tell you, we've already had one quote of $4800 on that piddly little project, which seems to me to be a pretty substantial amount of money.But HEY! NO worries! If you aren't interested in our business, we most certainly can take it somewhere else. She sounded thrilled to death to get us off the phone. I will NEVER use this company for siding, windows, etc. I will NEVER seek another quote from this company. I will tell any homeowner I know that needs work done to AVOID these guys like the plague! I cannot imagine in these times that companies are literally turning away multiple thousand dollar jobs for being "too small" for their grand and glorious local company. Stay away from these guys!From scrolling down through some reviews, it does look like this company offers one-off jobs on things like pergolas and others so I guess this was just that this company did not want to do business with us. I see plenty of reviews from people that had one front door replaced, reviews from people who had one back door replaced, etc. Now I feel even WORSE about this company. YIKE.
