******************* c/o Peak Health Family Medicine *************************************************************** Review to be posted:I would highly discourage anyone from participating in this medical practice; Peak Health Family Medicine. In the years I have been a patient, Ive noticed a steady decline in service; both customer service and patient service.Over the past several weeks, I have been trying to get my fiancs BLOOD PRESSURE MEDICATION refilled as he is working out of state and needed his medication mailed overnight and was unavailable via phone due to his remote location. I put in the refill request to the pharmacy as you are told to do on the office voice mail. After a few days, I checked with the pharmacy to see if it was refilled.. It was not and they hadnt been provided with an explanation. The pharmacy attempted to request a refill two additional times, both denied without explanation.I tried calling the office and was abruptly transferred to ***********************, PA, where I received her lengthy voice mail that comes across rather condescending. I left her a message leaving all the required information including my information so she could contact me. I explained my fianc was out of state and unavailable but in dire need of his BLOOD PRESSURE MEDICATION. I never received a return call. That is a display of bad customer service and in my opinion, patient neglect.I waited a few days and called again. This time I went into detail with the receptionist explaining all that happened and asking if I needed to call the Board. She quickly gathered my fiancs information and explained ***********************, PA, denied the refill because my fianc had to schedule an appointment. I asked why nobody could call and provide that information. She didnt know but stated that they cant provide medication without managing care. I asked her if she was suggesting that my fianc should abruptly stop taking blood pressure medication and if that was her medical advice. She quickly back peddled stating she wasnt providing any medical advice and quickly transferred me to ***********************, PA, again. After listening to her lengthy voice mail message, I, again, provided all of my fiancs information, reiterated him being out of state remotely and unavailable by phone, and all of my information. I stated stopping blood pressure medication is likely not medically advised (the internet actually states DO NOT STOP taking this medication without talking to your doctor. Stopping it suddenly (or running out without a refill) can cause your blood pressure to increase quickly. This raises your risk of a heat attack or stroke) and likely dangerous but perhaps I needed to have that discussion with the *********** and ***************** That real patient care would be to provide a month of blood pressure medication and schedule an appointment during that time. I expected a phone call regarding this matter. Continuing to provide her terrible patient service, she never returned my call. The following day, and without a return phone call, for the second time, ***********************, PA, apparently agreed (or **** the owner agreed) that the *********** and **************** would not agree that abruptly stopping blood pressure medication was solid advice and refilled the prescription. ***********************, PA, you and Peak Health Family Medicine are TERMINATED AS OUR PROVIDER. We will be filing a complaint for patient neglect and endangerment with the *********** and ***************** We will NEVER step foot in your office again. Having to threaten to speak with the *********** and **************** in order to get a medication for a chronic condition is beyond reproach. Your behavior Kaley is neglectful, medically irresponsible and endangering. Consider yourself fortunate nothing traumatic happened due to the abrupt stoppage of chronic blood pressure medication due to your prescription refill denial patient neglect, or we would be having a different conversation. You will be reported
