Complaint Category: Advertised price not honored

Complaint: Company cancelled my order due to an error on their behalf and will not honor the price advertised.
I purchased an item (order no. 6052756) from RoyalDiscount.com at $268.19 on Monday September 3rd. A day later I received an email from a representative (********) commenting that they had created an error causing their prices to be incorrect on their website and they were cancelling my order. They will not honor their price. I spoke with this representative to resolve the issue with them and they absolutely refuse to honor the price in which they clearly advertised on their website. They refunded the money and they tried to offer a gift certificate to restaurants in exchange for their screw up on the pricing. I want them to honor the pricing that I purchased at and stop holding the customer responsible for their mistakes. According to ******** multiple people ordered during this period.

We apologize that this was a mis-listing due to a technical error in our data feeds. We did offer a gift card for the inconvenience...it was also explained to the customer that we would take a significant loss to honor this incorrect pricing. We always want to please our customers and are disappointed that we are unable to do so in this case.

Consumer's Final Response
I just recently found out that my card that was used in this transaction was compromised because of a hack of an online merchant. My information was stolen from the website and used to make purchases. I found this out through my bank who informed me that an online retailer had contact *************** to notify them of the mass compromise. When I contacted Royal Discount, they claimed they were not compromised but yet all the activity surrounding my order and now my card being stolen and used for online transactions, I can put 2 & 2 together. I am further going to investigate this and if I find out that my information was stolen from Royal Discount because of a hack and Royal Discount lied to me regarding this, Legal action will be taken!
