    ******** STAY IN EARLY FEBRUARY:This weekend I experienced my worst experience with a Marriott to date, and I really hope someone can help me resolve this. We had a weird squeaking noise in our room 2201 and had shared that with a gentleman on Thursday evening at the front desk and said he would call maintenance to check it out. No one had come to fix it, but we had decided we could close both bathroom sliding doors and try to sleep through it. Today (Sunday) we had been exploring the nearby area and due to an issue with our Uber and the snow the area had received, I called the hotel to share that we needed an extra 45 minutes to check out and apologized and asked for some ****** It was a quick and rude no, and while I understand adhering to the rules, I think with all things considered, including my Marriott loyalty, our two rooms, hotel purchases of food and at the gift shop, I would have hoped for some ****** They quickly said, no we are charging you for a half day rate. I have certainly experienced more professional communication, but I said okay, well we are on our way back.I had spoken to the Front Desk Manager and she again did not care about our situation and was even more firm and unforgiving in person. I also shared that our room never got taken care of with the squeaking issue.I empathized with her, understanding she is just trying to do her job, and I too worked at a hotel. I told her we did the honest and respectful thing to call and let them know as soon as we had an issue getting back to the hotel and still, very rude communication from her.She then called security on me for suggesting to her it would be very easy to make an exception and two security guys came to our room. I was shocked. They searched our room as if we were criminals and we were very disappointed, especially as we spend over $25,000 a year on Marriott hotels and over 100+ nights per year.Resolution: Credit me $64 in the meal credits and refund me the half-day rate.

    As a Marriot Gold we have a 2pm check out, subject to availability.We were told it's not available, we checked reservations, our room was available that night, after mentioning this we were told we can book our current room for another night.We called the Marriott assist corporate number, we were given a late check out, no problems at all.This hotel was profoundly dishonest in our opinion and disrespectful of Marriot Gold patrons.
