Complaint: They sent us to a sister hotel but failed to cancel our reservation. Called for refund. They charged me again instead. On New Years eve we had a reservation at the Fairfield Inn. We showed up and their pool was out of order so they sent us to their sister hotel down the street. They failed to cancel our reservation even though they said they did so I was charged $113.60 for that night. I called a week or so later but the manager never called me back. I called again and their employee said they refunded the money but looking at my credit card statement they charged me $130.35 instead. So now I am out $243.95 for a hotel I didn't even stay at. I have tried resolving this issue but the hotel staff and manager seem unwilling or unable to do it.

Desired Settlement: I would like the Fairfield Inn to refund the $243.95 they charged me in error.

In reviewing your file, it seems as though the hotel charged you again instead of crediting you when you called to express your concern. I am so sorry for this mistake. I will issue a credit today for the full amount you are requesting to your Visa. Depending on your bank's policies, it may take 3-5 business days for the credit to reflect. Please accept my sincerest apologies for this mistake.
