We stayed the night at Microtel because we had to leave on a flight very early in the morning. The stay was fine, but I'm writing about the service they offer of leaving your car parked in their lot for half the price that the airport charges for long-term parking. Getting on the shuttle to the airport was perfectly fine, the driver was very friendly and helped load luggage into the back of her van. On our way back to Colorado our flight was delayed for about 5 hours and we landed around midnight MST. We waited a bit in the shuttle pickup area to see if the Microtel shuttle would just show up. At about 12:45 AM I called Microtel to let them know we were there and needed to be brought back to our car. She was very friendly on the phone, told us where to be waiting, and said that they would call my phone when they were about 5 minutes out. We stood where she told us to and waited for an hour. I called back at 1:45 AM and she said that the driver had already been back and there were no more shuttles for the night because they stop at 2 AM. I said "So what you're saying is we're stranded at the airport in the middle of the night because we cannot afford a taxi." She said, while giggling, "I'm very sorry but the driver said she went to both areas and never saw you." I told her that I never got a phone call like she mentioned and we never even saw the shuttle come by. I hung up and my husband called back and basically threatened to wake up the manager in order to approve them paying for our taxi fare. She said very hastily, "No we will pay for it." Which they did, but if only the shuttle driver had done her very simple job we wouldn't have been stranded at the airport in the middle of the night, tired and hungry.

Desired Settlement
I would like a complete refund of the $20 we paid for parking in the hotel lot for a week, and I would like to be refunded for the night we stayed there. I also think that the driver should be fired for ever stranding anyone at the airport; an airport that is in the middle of nowhere.
