How is this place able to stay in business? Giving them 1 star is still overrated. This place has been a nightmare since we purchased material from them. It starts off with the sales person ******. She has us sign paperwork but doesnt go over it with us. I understand that its also our responsibility to read what we are signing but her as a sales person who has any decency would have a verbal conversation that everything purchased here is a final sale. When we tried to cancel the order because our contractor found a better price, they wouldnt let us get a refund, when we tried to pick up our material, it was a whole ordeal and they wouldnt release it to us. Bottom line, stay away from these guys. They are heartless and only want to hold you hostage to their product. Even to the point that an employee told me that the owner is stingy and wouldnt even give a customer a refund even after showing proof that his house burnt down. I am astonished that anyone would support this company. This was the WORST experience EVER!Review from Marilyn S

We purchased our counter tops on 4/29/2022. On 05/15/2022 we had to pay remaining (1/2) balance. we set a delivery/install date. On install date we had to reschedule the delivery. we were later notified we had to reschedule due to sanding of counter tops to get it ready. On scheduled install date and time of 8:00 they did not show up. After several phone calls to Stone Crafters (installers) and Granite Depot the counter tops were delivered at noon the next day. They need eight hours to install. Installers left at 8:15 p.m. We were grateful for installers diligent in completing the job. We were told counter tops could not be sealed at this time, because they were still wet from sanding and needed two weeks to dry. Next day a telephone call to Stone Crafters to schedule the sealing. Date set. Then date came and went. Stone Crafters told us they needed another three weeks to dry. Today, 9/11/2022 a 9:11 a.m. telephone call to Stone Crafters missed appointment and finishers still a "NO SHOW". There is very poor communication between the scheduling and install departments. Finally got the manager of the scheduling department. Hopefully, today. Have had to reschedule doctors appointments, other events and missed this week-ends granddaughter's basketball tournament out of state,Review from Kathleen C

After comparing other cabinet and countertop companies I settled on Granite Depot. Huge mistake. Because of the supply chain, I purposely chose stock cabinets that could be delivered within my specified timeframe. This was confirmed by the salesperson. When it came time to pick up the cabinets Granite Depot had not paid the distributor. The distributor would not release my fully paid-for product until THEIR CHECK CLEARED. This set the delivery to GD back 4 days. I was told by my salesperson that he had checked all the pieces that there was only one issue with a trash can - okay no problem. BUT, wait the skin was damaged and warped and there was not enough trim. Called to get this straightened out - one week later the product had not been paid for and again the distributor has to wait for THEIR CHECK TO CLEAR and it will be another week. Now the fabricator of the countertop came out to measure and told me that you can not use a previously used sink for an undermount installation. No mention of that - even in contract. Now a new sink must be purchased. Oh, did mention because of their incompetency I had to cancel the template measurement 4 times? Granite Depot's lack of transparency, poor communication, and business practices DO NOT make up for any savings you might get. In fact, it will cost you. I disregarded the reviews because only unhappy customers post reviews (right), my mistake. This is the 4th kitchen remodel I have done and I have never experienced such poor customer service and/or professionalism.Think 10 times before using Granite Depot.Note- last positive review2019Review from Antonio V

We worked with 2 reps and they were very helpful and nice with us, especially the counter rep. - Geoffrey. However, when we spoke with the cabinet rep. - Derek it was a totally different experience. He started asking several different questions about what we were looking for. We told him the truth that this was our very 1st visit to a one of these shops, so we were not sure what we were looking for. He continued to ask us questions about what style/height of cabinets we were looking for. We could not answer him. He told us that other customers that come in already have this information. We reiterated that this was our 1st visit to one of these shops. It was obvious he was getting frustrated with us. I told him that that we might be a little unprepared, but we just wanted some simple questions answered. And if he could give us a “rough” estimate. We showed him a drawing of our kitchen with measurements. At this point he told us that he had to mention that his cabinets were taking up to 5 months to get. We told him that would probably not work for us. But that we still wanted an estimate even if it was off by 1000’s. We just wanted to get an idea what Granite Depots costs. We even made it as easy as possible for him by picking one of their models to use as a sample. He just needed to use the measurements in our drawing. Finally, he took us into the cabinet ordering area. Upon arriving he asked us 2 questions, what color & style we wanted the cabinets. Me and my wife were perplexed as to why he was asking us this after we told him to use the model’s colors, styles. So we picked a color & style. Suddenly, he said he had to go to the bathroom. When he came back, the only thing he told us was that “if the 5 months wait for cabinets did not work for us it was not worth his time to write up an estimate”. We did not know that kitchen cabinet estimates at Granite Depot have strings attached and that you must be a semi- expert in kitchen cabinets before you walk in. Since then we have been to several other places and have had 1 in-house estimate done for new cabinets and countertop. Every single time we have been treated with respect and the feeling that they want our business.
