              BBB unable to locate business
              Pickering Auto, Arvada, CO location, replaced my transmission April 2023 backed by a NAPA nationwide 3 year warranty. Pickering sold out to Big Brand Tire summer 2023. Big Brand Tire is refusing to locate the information on my vehicle as to where the rebuilt transmission came from. That’s the only info I need to get my current transmission repairs covered by NAPA (the auto parts chain of stores) warranty. My original paperwork for original repairs is in my possession, but the info NAPA needs is held by Pickering Auto. There were four Pickering locations. The Pickering brothers took over the 40+ year old business. Someone can give me the info I must have to cover this $750 repair. Please help.

              I brought my car in, because a wire was burnt from my alternator to my battery. They then told me I needed to pay $100 for them to even look at the car. I was having a bad day so I paid it. I should have known better. Instead of seeing if the wire was the issue they said that they need to replace my battery, alternator, and starter. Plus they said it also might be my pcm. Yet they never got electricity to any of it, and I was told I need to spend $1500 and that may still not work. I have worked on my own cars for years. Unfortunately I don’t have tools right now. So I took my vehicle here in good faith. Instead I was treated disrespectfully. These people tried to manipulate money out of me and basically assumed I was an idiot. I really don’t understand how places like these exist. This is how they do business. They take advantage of people who don’t know about cars. Mechanic’s like this make it difficult for hard working honest mechanics.

Our job is to recommend the course of action that we think is best for your vehicle, but, of course, we would never pressure a customer to have work done that they don't feel comfortable with. It's unfortunate you've come to such a false conclusion from this experience, but it's completely your choice to have the repair done elsewhere.
