Additional Notes

Complaint: Missed the Center cap for my custom front wheel while performing tire rotation When I have given for 30 k service mileage, while performing tire rotation, they have missed the Center cap for my custom front wheel. I have been following up from the last 3 months but still now there is no progress from them.

Desired Settlement: I request to provide the Center cap for my custom front wheel, (or) replace my all custom wheels

Business Response: Initial Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2014/03/21) */ On November 15th, 2013, Mr. ***** had us perform maintenance on his vehicle totaling $113.57. This was his first visit to our facility. When he picked his vehicle up, it had all 4 center caps installed. The customer returned 1 week later to our shop claiming that due to improper service, he is now missing one center cap. Although there are many possible explanations for the missing center cap (theft, service at another shop, etc.) we agreed to replace it for the customer at no charge. After an exhaustive search for a replacement center cap, we were unable to find a source for a new part. We then suggested to the customer that he return to where he bought the wheels to get a quote on a replacement part and we would approve and pay for the order. He instead filed this complaint. We would be happy to pay for a new center cap (without accepting that it was our fault for it being missing) but we cannot find one. Replacing all the wheels is not a reasonable resolution as that would cost in excess of $1,000 and we have no proof that the lost center cap is even our responsibility. His vehicle left with 4 center caps and returned with 3 center caps 1 week later. What happened during that 1 week? We don't know. However, in situations like this, we always err on the side of customer satisfaction. If a replacement part can be found, we will pay for it but we have been unsuccessful so far. Initial Consumer Rebuttal /* (3000, 7, 2014/03/27) */ (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.) I had discussion with management of Broomfield Auto Service Center, they have accepted it's their mistake and will provide the missing center cap. I have visited their service center on Tuesday i.e., 3/25/2014 and they got the my center cap measurements. They confirmed that for finding the cap. Thanks!
